Electronic Soundscapes presents SolTek
Hailing from the Netherlands, SolTek is a fresh act with a rich and diverse music background. Being influenced by composers such as Tangerine Dream and Arvo Part, among an endless list of others, Astroman is the premier release by SolTek, which gives the listener a taste of various musical influences and directions. A blend of trip hop, techno textures and beats embellished with lush atmospheres, define the unique sound of SolTek.
01. Astroman (06:24)
Trip Hop meats big beat. Industrial glides over ionized atmospheres.
A taste of the unique SolTek approach.
02. Muki (01:07)
An interlude that travels the listener on the ambient side of SolTek and also gives the chance to empty out before the beginning of an epic track.
03. Butterfly Part I (22:54)
Butterfly Part I is a track of epic proportions. While keeping the SolTek sonic signature throughout the 23 minutes of the journey, Butterfly Part I is a fusion of alternative downtempo beats, cinematic ambience and techno basslines.
04. Space to Love (04:10)
Contradictory to the title, Space to Love is the most organic and earthy track of the Astroman E.P. fusing mutated harmonicas and Hawaian landscapes.
05. Jig Saw (04:04)
Jig Saw inducts us on the more beaty side of SolTek. A contemporary approach to fat basslines and interesting beat patterns.
06. Butterfly Part II (17:11)
Butterfly Part II is no exception in being the sequel of an epic first part. Cinematic Melodies and crystal clear atmospheres act as a soothing sonic remedy that refreshes, relaxes and cleanses the listener. Put your headphones on and enjoy an ambient jewel.
Under the disguise of an Extended Play release, Astroman is in reality an album which exceeds the normal play time of conventional length albums. Astroman E.P. is the first in a series of releases by Albert Borkent on Electronic Soundscapes.
