Born in London and raised up in Athens, Arash Atman is involved with electronic music during the last 15 years. Since the primal sounds of electronic music, when various genres, subgenres and styles where not existing as terms- groundbreaking Athenian clubs such as Faz and even underground bar cafes such as Berlin, provided a source of inspiration and also an alternative approach and re-definition of musical expression, which attracted and magnetized Arash Atman – in a similar manner that metals are attracted to magnetized poles – to a new kind of music, which was guided, driven and based on modern technology. Studying applied programming at Middlesex University in London, the relationship that he developed with London's music scene between 1996 – 2000, changed his life perspective and his involvement with the scene there was the primary reason to a change of career, solely dedicating his interest towards the art of sound and music.
When he graduated with his first Sound Engineering diploma from SAE London, he returned in Athens where while he was extending his knowledge studying at SAE Athens he started setting up and organising events as well as travelling at different parts of the world, in search of the ultimate and outmost expression through music at natural open air locations , through big and more compact sound systems.
Finalising his Sound Engineering studies and after one year of working as assistant Sound Engineer in the National Classical and Philharmonic Orchestras as well as travels abroad and more specifically in Iran, India, Germany, Austria and South Africa, Arash Atman organised and runed the first big Chill Out Stage on Samothraki island, as part of the Sola Luna Festival 2001.
In 2002, he is in duty of the line-up, the sound installation as well as all the functional issues of the Chill Out Stage of the Samothraki Dance Festival. The same year, he also organised and set up the Chill Out Stage at Just Dance Festival. One of the biggest dance festivals ever organised in Athens that had a turnout of over than 15000 people.
In 2003, he once more organises and runs successfully the Chill Out Stage of Samothraki Dance Festival 2003. A new page was written on the Global history of alternative downtempo electronic music. On Samothraki island, Arash Atman and his collaborators, together with the help of Kostas Margas and Panos Katsaras , constructed a uniquely groundbreaking sonic dome, featuring an actual 5.1 surround environment.
Top flight musicians of the global alternative underground scene, prepared exclusive 6 channel surround mixes of their Live P.As , especially for the Chill Out Stage. Some of the musicians where introduced for the first time in Greece as well as in Europe through the Chill Out Stage in Samothraki. The pure Class-A, Hi-End technology which was used this year brought the specific music genre into new heights and raised up the quality bar globally, towards even higher standards.
In 2004 in collaboration with Interchill Records a Canadian tour is being organised and Arash Atman performed DJ gigs on the most important festivals in British Columbia such as:
Invision Festival, Shambala Festival, Soundwave Festival, Interchill Label night in Salt Spring Island and Fusion Club –Nelson Mountains
In 2005 he is in duty of Main Stage Manager and also performs DJ set at the 2005 European Digital Culture Festival together with Tolis Q and also performs 2 DJ Sets in the Main and Chill Out Stage of the Solar Eclipse 2005 Festival at the Oasis of Tamerza – Tunisia.
He also worked as assistant Sound Engineer in 3 Big Length Feature films. In 2006, he is launcing his own independent record label ( Electronic Soundscapes ). The label is focusing on high quality ungenred/unclassified alternative electronica, introducing unexplored sonic landscapes to audiences globally.
The first release of Electronic Soundscapes, is a compilation by Arash Atman, featuring 9 previously unreleased tracks written especially as a tribute to Samothraki's Chill Out Stage.
In 2006, he also performed 2 DJ sets at the Soulclipse Total Solar Eclipse Festival in Turkey, receiving critical acclaim from promoters and festival goers.

Legion of Green Men exists in the nebulous realm between without and within. On rare occasions this manifests into tangible recordings and live human sightings. Records date from 1992 in sporadic limited editions. They are the original purveyors of the infinite vinyl lock groove. New recordings continue to evolve and explore the multiple incarnations of THE GRONK. A new CD of percolating synths, wobbly bass and dubby rhythms awash in aqueous ambience is immanent.
Nomadic polymorphic agitator with 20 years of music production experience. At the beginning of the nineties he was member of Ohmega Tribe, Technogod, and the Lost Legion Alien collective releasing for Silent Records (seminal ambient label), remixer, dj/vj and dancefloor freak.
Last 7 years are spent in a sufi nomadic trip through India, Africa, Europe, Australia, alternating solitairy life with tribal gatherings and Dj sets around the globe.
Meanwhile, he had started to explore the hyperspace of visuals and to produce a synaesthetic project of sound and vision. Currently work in progress DVD to be released soonish.
