Arash Atman

Born in London and raised up in Athens, Arash Atman is involved with electronic music during the last 15 years. After a 4 years period of studying Applied Programming and Sound Engineering in London, he got very much involved with the electronic music scene there and after returning in Athens and extending his Sound Engineering studies, he started throwing freestyle chilled downtempo nights and organized various festivals as well as got working experience in setting up Live P.As., working on shootings and working as stage manager.

Known in Greece and abroad, for his intuitive polymorphically alternative chilled beats and basslines, which he spins through his sets and also for the high quality of events that he organizes, he became known to the wider audience through the chill out stage he set up and organized for 3 consecutive years at the Samothraki Dance Festival.

He has also organized and stage managed other big festivals in Greece like: Just Dance Festival and the European Festival of Culture and Digital Arts. He has also worked as the technical manager and floor co-ordinator of 2 of the most demanding LIVE elctronic music gigs in Greece. Juno Reactor Live In Athens, featuring Zen Lemonade Live as well as The Future Sound Of London Live in Athens featuring the first ever Funktion 1 Sound System installation in Greece.

His travels worldwide as well as his sets abroad inspired him for starting his personal record label (Electronic Soundscapes), featuring a special tribute compilation to the SDF chill out stage as the first release and he also had an extended Canadian tour throughout British Columbia's most important festivals in association with Interchill Records.

He has worked in many film shootings as sound engineer as well as assistant in Greece and other countries and he has also achieved a best sound engineering award for a location recording he made on a short length film. He sporadically writes and produces alternative downtempo tracks and aims to keep on extending his horizons and capabilities, encompassing an ever extending knowledge on the art of sound and music.
