Alexander Ivanov, a talented musician from Saint Petersburg performs under the Alexander Daf alias. Infinite ambient landscapes seasoned by complex IDM and downtempo-rhythms, Intelligent soft sound-moods, beautiful backgrounds and warm atmospheres describe Alexander's tracks which made their way to the independent charts and many IDM-djs have played worldwide.
He has released a couple of EPs on well-known European labels as well as debuting on Electronic Soundscapes with the E.P. "While you were sleeping" featuring one track with Maria Grigoryeva.
His debut full length album "A Thousands Reasons to Be" was released by the major American label System Recordings in the end of 2008. The album was highly acclaimed and entered Beatport's Chillout Top 100.
Now Alexander regularly performs in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, participates in various festivals and records a brand new album with the famous British Ambient Producer Matt Coldrick (Pan Electric).
Alexander Daf is part of the promo-group Sun Station Records and label manager of Microcosmos Records.
